1. Job Summary

The Part-Time Architectural Draughtsperson will support architectural design and project delivery by producing accurate technical drawings, assisting with documentation, and participating in site inspections to ensure construction works align with approved design intent and technical standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Architectural Drafting & Design Support

  • Prepare architectural drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Develop and update design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Ensure drawings are accurate, detailed, and compliant with construction standards.

B. Technical Documentation

  • Produce clear technical drawings for building permits and construction execution.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized project documentation and drawing records.
  • Assist in preparing technical submissions for approvals and client presentations.

C. Presentation & Visualization

  • Assist in creating visual presentation materials using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Support design communication through high-quality graphics and layout work.

D. Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate drawings and design updates with architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Support project teams in resolving design and technical issues.

E. Site Supervision & Follow-up

  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
  • Verify that construction works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Report deviations and support corrective actions where necessary.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
  • Good knowledge of architectural detailing and construction methods
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field
  • Previous experience in architectural drafting or design support is an advantage
  • Experience with construction documentation and site coordination preferred
