Job Overview
The Credit Risk Analyst will join the Credit Risk Management department to support the bank’s lending activities across retail and corporate segments. This role involves assessing creditworthiness, analyzing financial statements, and monitoring portfolio performance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk policies. The analyst will work closely with relationship managers, senior risk officers, and the compliance team to develop risk mitigation strategies and provide actionable insights that drive sound credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed credit assessments for loan applications, including financial analysis, cash flow modeling, and industry risk evaluation.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and present findings to senior management and credit committees.
- Monitor existing credit exposures, identify early warning signs, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure appropriate loan terms and covenants.
- Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and HSBC Group risk policies.
- Maintain and update credit risk databases and dashboards for accurate portfolio tracking.
- Participate in stress testing exercises and scenario analysis to gauge portfolio resilience.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling.

- Proficiency in risk management software and MS Office, especially Excel.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CPA are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or related roles within a banking or financial services environment. Experience with corporate lending, SME credit, or retail loan portfolios will be particularly valuable.
Salary
