Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and optimizing waste management strategies for urban and industrial clients in Mauritius. The consultant will collaborate with municipal authorities, private sector partners, and NGOs to develop sustainable waste solutions aligned with national environmental policies. The position offers opportunities to work on high-impact projects, including smart waste collection systems and community education programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct waste audits and feasibility studies for new waste management projects
- Design waste segregation, recycling, and disposal systems tailored to client needs
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and international sustainability standards
- Develop training programs for local communities on waste reduction practices
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineers and urban planners on integrated waste management solutions
Required Skills
- Expertise in municipal waste management systems and circular economy principles

Education

Salary
350,000 – 450,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses and project incentives.
