Job Overview

The Mining Safety Inspector will play a critical role in overseeing the daily safety operations at our Chamarel site. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular, unannounced site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Identify, document, and report potential geological and mechanical hazards to the site management team immediately.
• Lead accident investigations and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence of safety incidents.
• Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure all staff are adequately trained in its use.
• Audit heavy machinery maintenance logs to ensure all equipment is safe for operational use.
• Develop and implement updated safety training modules for new and existing staff members.
• Collaborate with the environmental team to ensure mining activities do not negatively impact the local Chamarel ecosystem.

• Expert knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations specific to the mining sector.
