Job Overview
The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect will lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑grade cloud solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients in Mauritius and the broader region. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Services, you will collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud architectures. Key Responsibilities
- Architect end‑to‑end cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that align with client business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead technical workshops, proof‑of‑concepts, and solution demos for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product managers to influence roadmap based on market feedback and emerging trends.
- Develop detailed design documents, migration strategies, and implementation plans.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Ensure solutions adhere to security best practices, data sovereignty, and industry compliance standards.
- Optimize cost models and provide financial forecasting for cloud deployments.
- Participate in pre‑sales activities, including RFP responses and technical bid preparation.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Anthos.
- Proven experience with cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and multi‑cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, identity & access management, and DevOps practices.
- Architectural certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing C‑level executives.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
Education
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required. Relevant professional certifications from Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure will be considered an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of ten years in enterprise IT, with at least five years focused on cloud architecture and solution delivery. Demonstrated success in leading large‑scale cloud transformation projects across multiple industries is essential.
