Job Overview
This role involves designing and implementing next-generation sustainable packaging solutions for food and beverage products. The position is ideal for candidates passionate about environmental stewardship and technological innovation. Tetra Pak Mauritius Ltd is seeking a dynamic professional to lead projects that integrate circular economy principles into packaging design, ensuring compliance with global sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize biodegradable and recyclable packaging materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into product lifecycle management.
- Conduct research on emerging materials and technologies for eco-friendly packaging.
- Ensure all solutions meet regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks.
- Provide technical support to production teams during implementation phases.
Required Skills
- Expertise in materials science or mechanical engineering with a focus on sustainability.
- Proficiency in CAD software for packaging design.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating environmental impact metrics.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Fluency in English and French (preferred).
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Environmental) or a related field. Advanced degrees in Sustainable Design or Environmental Science are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years in packaging engineering, with a proven track record in sustainable product development. Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
Salary
35,000 – 45,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
