Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Compliance Officer to join our specialized regulatory team in Curepipe. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental management systems (EMS) for diverse industrial clients.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for submission to the Ministry of Environment.
- Identify potential environmental risks and provide actionable mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation to ensure proactive compliance strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate sustainable practices into client operations.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Mauritian environmental laws and international ISO 14001 standards.
- Exceptional technical writing and reporting capabilities for complex scientific data.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret environmental impact assessments and data sets.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Proficiency in GIS software and environmental modeling tools.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related scientific discipline is mandatory. Professional certification in Environmental Auditing is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in environmental consultancy, regulatory compliance, or environmental auditing within an industrial or manufacturing context is required. Proven experience in managing large-scale compliance projects is essential.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and qualifications.
