Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect to join our growing technical team in Grand Baie. This role is critical for designing, building, and managing complex cloud-based infrastructures that support high-performance applications. The successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor to our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of cloud migration, security, and scalability. This is a high-impact position that requires a deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and automated deployment pipelines. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Lead complex cloud migration projects from on-premises environments to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain automated infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with software development teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization.
• Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices for cloud data protection and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cloud engineers and developers.

Required Skills

• Expertise in AWS core services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to architect solutions for complex business requirements.
• Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and technical teams.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering or systems architecture, with at least 4 years specifically focused on cloud-native architectures and large-scale distributed systems.

Salary

The annual salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 1,800,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This is a competitive package designed to attract top-tier talent in the region.
