Job Overview
The Senior Store Operations Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing store performance across Carrefour’s portfolio in Mauritius. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will analyze operational data, develop improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of store KPIs, including sales, inventory turnover, labor productivity, and shrinkage.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and develop data‑driven recommendations to improve store efficiency.
- Collaborate with store managers to implement process improvements and monitor their impact.
- Prepare regular performance dashboards and present insights to senior leadership.
- Support the rollout of new retail technologies, such as POS upgrades and inventory management systems.
- Lead cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing the customer journey and in‑store experience.
- Ensure compliance with Carrefour’s operational standards, health & safety policies, and local regulations.
Required Skills
- Advanced analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and supply chain fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Project management experience, preferably with Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in English and French; knowledge of Creole is an advantage.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications in data analytics, project management, or retail operations will be given preference.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in retail operations analysis, store management, or a similar role within a large‑scale retail environment. Experience with multinational retail chains is highly valued.
Salary
The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 500,000 to 800,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based bonuses.
