Job Overview
The Retail Operations Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing store performance, inventory management, and customer experience across Shoprite’s Curepipe locations. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales, footfall, and conversion data to identify trends and recommend store‑level improvements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, shrinkage, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with merchandising to optimize product assortment based on regional preferences and profitability analysis.
- Support the planning of promotional calendars by forecasting demand and assessing price elasticity.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis of operational inefficiencies and propose data‑backed solutions.
- Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting insights and actionable recommendations.
- Assist in the implementation of new POS systems and ensure data integrity during migration.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets.

Education
