Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement food safety protocols aligned with HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 standards
- Conduct regular audits of food processing facilities, storage units, and transportation systems
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations
- Investigate and resolve quality deviations or contamination risks in food products
- Train staff on best practices for hygiene, traceability, and allergen management
- Monitor emerging food safety trends and integrate innovative technologies like blockchain for traceability
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in food safety regulations (EU, US FDA, and FSSAI)
- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and quality control
- Proficiency in using food safety management software (e.g., FoodLogiQ, SGS)
- Excellent communication for cross-departmental collaboration
- Leadership experience in managing quality assurance teams
- Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and food waste reduction strategies
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
- Advanced certification in Food Safety Management (e.g., PCQI, CFSQI) preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years in food safety or quality assurance roles
- Experience in agri-food technology or cold chain logistics
Salary
350,000 – 450,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses and profit-sharing opportunities.
