Key Responsibilities

  • Lead legal technology assessments and audits for law firms, corporate legal departments, and government legal agencies operating in Mauritius and the broader African region
  • Design and implement contract lifecycle management solutions using industry-leading platforms such as DocuSign CLM, ContractPodAi, and SAP Ariba
  • Develop e-discovery strategies and manage electronic document review projects for litigation support and regulatory compliance matters
  • Configure and customize legal practice management software including Clio, PracticePanther, and Lexicata to meet client-specific requirements
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with legal professionals to understand workflow challenges and technology needs
  • Create comprehensive implementation roadmaps and project plans for legal technology deployments with clear milestones and success metrics
  • Provide training and change management support to ensure successful user adoption of new legal technology solutions
  • Monitor emerging legal technology trends including AI-powered legal research tools, blockchain-based smart contracts, and predictive analytics for case outcomes
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for executive stakeholders on technology ROI, efficiency gains, and strategic recommendations

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in legal technology implementation, legal operations, or law firm management consulting
  • Proven expertise with at least three major legal technology platforms such as contract management systems, e-discovery tools, or practice management software
  • Strong understanding of legal workflows, document management processes, and billing procedures in law firms or corporate legal departments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex legal technology challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Superior communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with legal professionals, IT staff, and C-suite executives
  • Project management certification such as PMP or Prince2 is highly desirable for this role
  • Experience with data analytics tools and reporting dashboards for measuring legal technology adoption and performance metrics

Education

The Legal Technology Solutions Consultant position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from an accredited university.
