Job Overview

The Port Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day activities of the St. Aubin terminal, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective handling of cargo while maintaining the highest standards of service quality. This role reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations and collaborates closely with terminal supervisors, customs authorities, shipping agents, and logistics partners. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the St. Aubin terminal, including vessel berthing, cargo handling, yard management, and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and local labor standards.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs to optimize vessel turnaround times and minimize dwell periods.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as crane productivity, berth utilization, and cargo throughput, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of supervisors, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Manage the terminal’s budget, controlling operational costs while achieving revenue targets.
• Implement sustainability initiatives, including energy‑efficient equipment usage and waste reduction programs.
• Prepare detailed operational reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

Education

Salary
