Job Overview

The Senior Flight Operations Manager will lead the Flight Operations department, overseeing all aspects of flight planning, dispatch, crew scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent will ensure that all flights are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with international aviation standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee crew scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels, rest compliance, and alignment with operational demand.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance department to guarantee aircraft readiness and address any technical issues that may affect flight schedules.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as on‑time performance, flight cancellations, and operational costs, and produce regular reports for senior management.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, airports, and third‑party service providers to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Implement safety management systems and conduct regular audits to uphold the highest safety standards.
  • Lead crisis management and emergency response initiatives, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of operational disruptions.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Experience

Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in flight operations, with at least five years in a senior managerial role within a commercial airline or similar aviation environment.
