Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Senior Laboratory Chemist to join our Quality Assurance team. This critical role is essential in ensuring that every batch of our product adheres to the strictest safety and quality protocols. The successful candidate will oversee complex chemical analyses, manage laboratory instrumentation, and lead quality control initiatives that safeguard our brand reputation. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced chemical and microbiological testing on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
- Validate and optimize analytical methods to ensure precision and accuracy in all laboratory results.
- Lead investigations into quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage and calibrate high-precision laboratory equipment to ensure continuous operational readiness.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all testing procedures and results in compliance with ISO standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to product quality.
- Ensure the laboratory operates in strict accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, and spectrophotometry.
- Strong understanding of food safety management systems (HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple testing priorities simultaneously.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or a closely related scientific discipline is mandatory. A PhD may be considered for candidates with significant industry experience.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the food or beverage manufacturing industry. Proven experience in quality control management and laboratory leadership is highly desirable.
Salary
The offered salary range for this position is 45,000 to 65,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
