Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Port Louis. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to support port and terminal operations.
• Negotiate complex service level agreements (SLAs) and procurement contracts with international and local vendors.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and new supplier candidates.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from requisition to final delivery and payment verification.
• Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure all procured materials and services meet technical specifications.
• Monitor vendor performance against KPIs to ensure continuous improvement in service quality.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with international maritime regulations and local Mauritian laws.
• Manage procurement budgets and provide regular reports on cost savings and spend analysis.

Required Skills

• Advanced negotiation skills with a proven track record of managing high-value contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics, maritime operations, and global supply chain management.
• Proficiency in ERP software and advanced data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement or logistics management, preferably within the maritime, shipping, or heavy industrial sectors. Proven experience in managing large-scale vendor contracts is essential.

The monthly salary for this position ranges from SSP 45,000 to SSP 65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
