Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute complex metallurgical experiments to optimize the recovery of precious and base metals.
• Conduct detailed chemical characterization of ore samples using advanced spectroscopic and microscopic techniques.
• Develop and refine chemical reagent formulations to improve extraction efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
• Analyze large datasets from pilot plant operations to identify trends and suggest process improvements.
• Lead the troubleshooting of chemical imbalances within the industrial leaching and flotation circuits.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present findings to the senior management and engineering teams.
• Ensure all laboratory activities comply with international safety and environmental regulations.

• Advanced proficiency in chemical analysis and metallurgical process modeling.
• Expert knowledge of hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy principles.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in a high-pressure environment.

Education

A Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a closely related field is mandatory. Candidates with exceptional industry experience and a strong academic background in inorganic chemistry will also be considered.

Experience

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a metallurgical laboratory or a mineral processing plant is required.
