Job Overview

The Senior Network Security Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of security controls across Orange Mauritius’s extensive network architecture. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain network security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN solutions.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead incident response activities, perform forensic investigations, and produce detailed post‑incident reports.
  • Collaborate with network engineering, operations, and product teams to integrate security controls into new service rollouts and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Monitor security alerts, analyze threat intelligence feeds, and implement proactive threat‑hunting initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior security staff and promote a culture of security awareness across the organization.
  • Prepare and present security metrics, dashboards, and executive briefings to senior management.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, e.g., Splunk or QRadar.
  • Hands‑on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, OpenVAS) and penetration testing frameworks (Metasploit, Burp Suite).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI‑DSS) and ability to implement compliance controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and incident‑response skills.

Education
