Job Overview

The Senior Risk Modelling Analyst will join the Risk Management department to design, develop, and validate advanced quantitative models that support credit, market, and operational risk assessments. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust credit, market, and operational risk models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Perform model validation, back‑testing, and stress testing to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to acquire, clean, and transform large data sets from internal and external sources.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, model governance reports, and presentations for senior management and regulators.
  • Monitor model performance, identify drift, and implement enhancements to improve predictive power.
  • Provide quantitative insights to support risk‑adjusted pricing, capital allocation, and strategic decision‑making.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of best‑practice modelling frameworks.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Python, R, or SAS for statistical modelling and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of risk modelling frameworks such as Basel III, IFRS 9, and CCAR.
  • Experience with SQL, data warehousing, and big‑data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to translate complex quantitative concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or PRM are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to risk excellence.

Experience
