Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Urban Planner to join our team in Port Louis, Mauritius. As a key member of our urban planning team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies that promote economic growth, social equity, and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies that promote economic growth, social equity, and environmental protection.
  • Conduct research and analysis on urban planning issues and trends, and provide recommendations for policy and program development.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, private sector companies, and local communities to develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources for urban planning projects and programs.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to government agencies, private sector companies, and local communities on sustainable urban planning practices.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in urban planning, with a focus on sustainable development.
  • Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, policies, and practices.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct research and analysis on urban planning issues and trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with government agencies, private sector companies, and local communities.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and resources for urban planning projects and programs.

Education

Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field from a recognized university.
