Job Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented E-commerce Marketplace Manager to spearhead our digital sales initiatives. This role is pivotal in transforming how our construction products are discovered and purchased online. The successful candidate will manage our presence on various third-party marketplaces and our proprietary web platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience and optimized conversion rates. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketplace strategy to increase online market share.
- Manage product catalogs, ensuring high-quality imagery and accurate technical specifications for all building materials.
- Analyze digital sales data to identify trends, optimize pricing strategies, and improve ROI.
- Collaborate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of online orders.
- Monitor competitor pricing and digital presence to maintain a competitive edge in the Mauritian market.
- Manage relationships with third-party marketplace providers and digital payment gateways.
Required Skills
- Expertise in marketplace management (Amazon, local B2B portals, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics and e-commerce dashboards.
- Deep understanding of SEO principles for product descriptions and category optimization.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills in English and French.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Commerce, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications in Digital Marketing or Data Analytics are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of proven experience in e-commerce management or digital retail operations. Experience within the construction, manufacturing, or heavy logistics industry is a significant advantage. We are looking for someone who has successfully scaled online sales channels in a previous role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive package reflecting the seniority of the role.
