Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale renewable energy projects from concept through commissioning. Reporting to the Head of Renewable Portfolio, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects meet technical, financial, and regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in advancing Shell Mauritius’ renewable portfolio, contributing directly to the nation’s clean energy targets and creating new Career Opportunities in Mauritius for skilled project leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules for solar, wind, and hybrid renewable installations.
- Lead cross‑functional teams including engineers, procurement specialists, legal advisors, and local authorities.
- Secure permits, land agreements, and grid interconnection approvals in compliance with Mauritian regulations.
- Monitor project performance, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.
Experience
Candidates must have at least eight years of proven experience managing renewable energy projects of 10 MW or greater, preferably within the African or Indian Ocean region. Demonstrated success in delivering projects on schedule and within budget is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 900,000 to SSP 1,200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
