Job Overview

Cemex Mauritius Ltd is seeking a dynamic Sustainable Construction Project Manager to lead the design, execution, and monitoring of eco-friendly construction projects in Bel Ombre. This role is pivotal in ensuring alignment with international sustainability standards while delivering high-quality infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee sustainable construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and Cemex’s sustainability protocols.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient designs.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for environmental and safety risks.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and present updates to senior management.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in sustainable construction methodologies (e.g., LEED, BREEAM certifications).
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge of local and international environmental regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills to address technical and logistical challenges.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Master’s in Sustainable Development or Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in construction project management, with at least 3 years focused on sustainable or green building projects.
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ professionals in construction environments.

Salary

35,000 – 45,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
