Job Overview

The Senior Blockchain Compliance Analyst will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of compliance frameworks for blockchain‑based financial products and services. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the role involves close collaboration with legal, risk, technology, and product teams to ensure that all blockchain initiatives adhere to local and international regulations, including anti‑money laundering (AML), counter‑terrorism financing (CTF), and data privacy requirements. The analyst will also serve as a subject‑matter expert, providing guidance on emerging regulatory trends, conducting risk assessments, and developing policies that safeguard the bank’s reputation while enabling innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies for blockchain‑enabled products, ensuring alignment with Mauritian and global regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses on blockchain projects, identifying potential compliance issues and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to embed compliance controls into smart contract development and blockchain architecture.

Education

Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within the banking or financial services sector, with at least two years focused on blockchain or digital asset initiatives. Prior exposure to international regulatory frameworks and experience working in a multinational banking environment are essential.

Salary
