Job Overview

The Senior Data Scientist will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models that address complex business challenges across multiple sectors, including finance, retail, and public services. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to translate data insights into actionable solutions that drive revenue, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end development of machine learning pipelines, from data ingestion to model deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define problem statements, success metrics, and data requirements.
• Design and implement scalable algorithms for predictive analytics, natural language processing, computer vision, and recommendation systems.
• Conduct rigorous model validation, bias detection, and performance tuning to ensure robustness and fairness.
• Mentor and coach junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Stay abreast of emerging AI research and integrate state‑of‑the‑art techniques into production workflows.
• Document methodologies, code, and results in clear, reproducible formats for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python or R, with extensive experience using libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, and Spark.
• Strong background in statistical modeling, deep learning, and data engineering.
• Expertise in SQL, NoSQL databases, and big data platforms (Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, etc.).
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions and communicate insights to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of ethical AI principles and data privacy regulations (GDPR, local data protection laws).

Education

A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications in Azure AI, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering are a plus.

Experience
