Job Overview
The Senior Renewable Energy Project Finance Analyst will lead financial structuring, modelling, and risk assessment for solar, wind and hybrid projects across Mauritius and the wider African market. Reporting to the Head of Project Development, the analyst will work closely with engineering, legal, and commercial teams to secure financing, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with international standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, including cash flow, debt service coverage, and sensitivity analyses.
- Structure project financing solutions, liaising with banks, development finance institutions, and private equity investors.
- Conduct due diligence, assess credit risk, and prepare investment memoranda for senior management approval.
- Negotiate term sheets, loan agreements, and equity partnership contracts in alignment with corporate policies.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to align financial assumptions with technical specifications and timelines.
- Monitor project performance post‑financial close, ensuring compliance with covenants and reporting requirements.
- Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, market trends, and incentive schemes affecting renewable energy finance in Mauritius and the region.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling software (Excel, VBA) and familiarity with project finance platforms.
