Job Overview

The Senior FinTech Product Manager will lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Mastercard’s fintech solutions tailored for the African and Indian Ocean markets. You will be responsible for defining product vision, strategy and roadmap, translating market insights into innovative features, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user‑centric payment products. This position reports to the Head of Product Management and works closely with engineering, design, compliance, marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches and sustained market growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy and roadmap for fintech solutions targeting merchants, SMEs and consumers in Mauritius and surrounding regions.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis and stakeholder interviews to identify unmet needs and growth opportunities.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data science and compliance teams to deliver high‑quality product releases on schedule.
  • Develop business cases, pricing models and go‑to‑market strategies that align with Mastercard’s financial objectives.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, gather user feedback and iterate to improve adoption and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, data protection laws and Mastercard’s security standards.
  • Represent Mastercard at industry conferences, fintech meetups and partner events to promote product awareness.

Required Skills

  • Strong product management expertise with a focus on fintech, payments or digital banking.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable product decisions.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and experience working with cross‑functional teams.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline is required. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of product management experience within the fintech or digital payments sector, preferably with exposure to African or Indian Ocean markets. Demonstrated success in launching and scaling financial products is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 800,000 to SSP 1,200,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health benefits and a retirement savings plan.
