We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Hydrological Modeler to join our elite research team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, calibrate, and validate complex numerical models to simulate hydrological processes.
- Analyze large datasets from rainfall gauges, river flow meters, and groundwater monitoring wells.
- Produce high-quality technical reports and spatial visualizations for government stakeholders.
- Collaborate with meteorologists and environmental engineers to integrate climate change projections into water models.
- Supervise junior researchers and technicians during field data collection campaigns.
- Lead research initiatives focused on groundwater recharge and aquifer management.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in mathematical modeling software such as MODFLOW, HEC-RAS, or SWAT.
- Expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial analysis and mapping.
- Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with programming languages like Python or R.
- Exceptional technical writing skills for publishing scientific findings.
- Deep understanding of catchment hydrology and groundwater-surface water interactions.
Education
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related Earth Science discipline is required. A PhD is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 7 years of professional experience in hydrological modeling or water resource management. Salary
