Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex reservoir simulations to predict fluid flow and pressure changes within the reservoir.
- Develop and implement comprehensive reservoir management plans to optimize recovery factors.
- Conduct uncertainty analysis and risk assessment for new drilling locations and production scenarios.
- Collaborate with the drilling team to design well completions and stimulation programs.
- Monitor real-time production data to validate reservoir models and adjust operational strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior reservoir engineers within the department.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel).
- Deep understanding of fluid thermodynamics, rock mechanics, and porous media flow.
- Strong analytical and mathematical modeling capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects in a high-pressure environment.
Education
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a closely related Earth Science discipline is required. A PhD is highly preferred for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in reservoir engineering, specifically within offshore or complex onshore environments. A proven track record of successful field development planning and production optimization is essential for success in this role.
Salary
