We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Robotics Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team in Phoenix. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and integration of robotic automation systems tailored to client-specific manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, simulate, and validate robotic programs and paths using ABB’s RobotStudio or equivalent offline programming software.
  • Oversee the on-site installation, electrical and mechanical integration, and commissioning of robotic cells, ensuring seamless interface with PLCs, vision systems, and other peripherals.
  • Conduct comprehensive system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to meet performance, cycle time, and quality specifications.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including integration manuals, operational procedures, and safety risk assessments.
  • Provide expert training and technical support to client engineering and maintenance teams post-commissioning.
  • Collaborate with sales and application engineers during the pre-sales phase to develop technically sound and commercially viable automation proposals.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics, sensors, and Industry 4.0 technologies to propose innovative solutions.

Required Skills

  • Expert proficiency in programming industrial robots, with a strong preference for experience in ABB Robot Programming (RAPID) and RobotStudio.
  • In-depth knowledge of robotic system components, including end-effectors, sensors, safety devices, and industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for system integration, with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Proven experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA systems is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to debugging complex mechatronic systems.
  • Outstanding project management and communication skills, capable of managing timelines and liaising effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety standards and regulations pertaining to industrial machinery and robotics.

Education

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a closely related technical field is required. Professional certifications in robotics or automation (e.g., from ABB or similar institutions) will be considered a significant asset.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial robotics integration, automation engineering, or a related role is essential.
