Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Orange Mauritius’s digital assets, networks, and customer data against emerging threats. Reporting to the Head of Information Security, the analyst will monitor security events, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents with precision and speed. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) platforms to detect and investigate anomalies.
- Perform regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing on internal and external systems.
- Analyze malware samples, phishing attempts, and other threat vectors to develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT operations, network engineering, and application development teams to embed security controls throughout the lifecycle.
- Document incident response procedures, produce post‑incident reports, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of threat intelligence feeds, zero‑day exploits, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Support audit activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint detection platforms.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional postgraduate qualifications or specialized certifications will be given preference.
Experience
