Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale hydroelectric plant upgrades and maintenance protocols.
- Conduct detailed technical assessments of turbine efficiency and water flow dynamics.
- Supervise on-site engineering teams during major overhaul and installation projects.
- Develop predictive maintenance models to minimize downtime and optimize asset lifecycle.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with international safety standards and local environmental laws.
- Collaborate with grid operators to manage load fluctuations and ensure stable power distribution.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in hydraulic modeling and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Expert knowledge of hydroelectric turbine mechanics and electrical control systems.
- Strong project management capabilities for multi-million dollar infrastructure projects.
- Exceptional analytical skills for troubleshooting complex mechanical failures.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting to executive stakeholders and technical teams.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory. Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) is highly desirable.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in hydropower plant operations or large-scale renewable energy infrastructure development is required. Proven experience in leading technical teams in a utility-scale environment is essential.
Salary
The annual gross salary for this position ranges from SSP 850,000 to SSP 1,200,000, depending on experience and technical expertise.
